The birth of Rome sparked with strength
With the youth of its founder
Through days into decades
Through months into years
Rome grew and it prospered
It dominated and conquered
Through the monarchy
Republic
And Empire too,
More than worthy opponents
Trembled with fear
For even they could not condone
The strength of Rome
Through bloodshed and war
They conquered it all
Victory after victory
Rome stood tall.
Even after their fall
Their legacy lives on
The breath of their lives
Shoots through our eyes
Let’s us recite, and lets us see,
Hail Rome! To victory!

Okay, my Latin teacher DECIDES to mention that we had to decorate and do artsy crap for school tomorrow, and that he needed to mention it before but had remembered JUST at this point.
He's like "We are just going to copy a bunch of original Latin poems and make them purdy" Okay? Yeah, okay.
I, who hasn't been in a good mood all week, offered to write an ACTUAL original poem, as long as he promised to translate it into Latin. Aint nobody got time for that.
Well, he agreed. I was drafting in school when I was in my worst mood, and then I lost the sheet filled with BEAUTY!!
GREAT!
Ugh. And as you guys know, I'm the most creative when I'm angry! Well, My anger stems from an argument I had with a friend. But by the time I get home, my mood turns around and gets a whole lot better, because 1) I got a really good report card grade, 2) My friend apologized, 3) My other friends made me laugh a whole lot more than I needed to.
So generally I'm in a better mood now. There goes my muse. Seriously.
So, in conclusion, I slapped this piece of crap together. It's nowhere NEAR as good as the first version AT ALL!! Not to mention, my teacher said I can only make it A SINGLE PAGE!! That's SUPER hard for me!!! All of my poems are at least two pages. (One sheet front and back) But... if you guys like it, leave a comment or fave this deviation! I'm going to post the Latin version tomorrow after my teacher translates it for me.
